KAMWALA MARKET

The Kamwala neighborhood consists of a typical market, relatively similar to other local markets, and a few streets lined with small stores selling furniture, household appliances, etc. But the great specialty of the neighborhood is the sale of wax and "kitenge" (or "chitenge") fabrics, imported from Tanzania and DRC. The stores are one after the other and do not resemble each other in this district with its authentic charm and vitality. It is nevertheless recommended to remain vigilant when strolling in this area, without saying that it is badly frequented.
