At the top of this hill, one has a very nice view of the park, but one comes especially to see the vestiges of an archaeological site dating from the Iron Age, classified National Monument. This site seems to be one of the oldest in Southern Africa; some of the pieces that have been found there can be seen in the Livingstone Museum. Inhabited since the 12th century by the Tonga ancestors who harvested salt from the springs and traded it in the markets. Until the villagers were evicted by the owners of the Lochinvar ranch.
