This cultural tourism project was initiated in 1997 by Robin Pope Safaris, the Zambian Wildlife Authority and the local community of Kawaza, a typical farming village surrounded by cotton, maize and sunflower fields in the Nsefu Chiefdom. Here, visitors learn about Kaunda culture, while helping to fund the village school and the schooling of AIDS orphans. It is home to about ten families. The program includes a visit to the school with a teacher, a meeting with a healer and a traditional meal followed by dances.
