The Governor's Residence is considered the most beautiful hotel in Yangon. An old Burmese teak wood residence in the heart of a lush garden, wicker lounges and Indonesian earthenware, a true haven of peace. The welcome is warm and the restaurant menu is absolutely exquisite. The swimming pool is magnificent. The only real criticism that can be made of the Governor's is its overpricing. Of course, even at this price the hotel is always full.
