In this pagoda, one would almost forget that one is in a place of worship and not in a carnival. Some come here to have a meal on the island, others arrive with arms full of flowers to offer to Buddha, while some come to feed the catfish that flock in whole flocks to the water's edge. The pagoda dates from the Mon era. Like most of its sisters, it contains Buddha's relics that were set during the construction of the building. A tiny cable car carries the gifts of Buddhist devotees to a safe place.
