This place was once called the "Jumping Cat Monastery". A monk, who died a few years ago, specialized in the training of cats to make them jump, like a circus. But no one has taken over this strange practice. The Nga Phe Kyaung is above all the monastery, made all in teak, the oldest of the lake. The architecture alone, entirely on stilts, is worth the detour! You will notice the collection of images of Buddha, wood and lacquer, in the center of the room.
