A train running between Barneville-Carteret and Portbail promises a discovery of all the natural wealth of the region

Since 1988, the Cotentin tourist train has been running between Barneville-Carteret and Portbail. A real attraction, the old locomotives earn their letters of nobility by pulling carriages from the 1930s and 1950s: a ride to discover all the natural riches of the region. You can also enjoy the market train in July and August between Portbail and Carteret. Many themed trains also run, the programme is rich.

Nous avons effectué cette activité en Août 2023. Nous n'avons pas vraiment aimé car lorsque vous avancez dans le train avec les explications données dans le micro nous ne voyons absolument rien car la plupart des choses sont cachées de chaque côté par des haies... Nous avons été très déçues.
Ce qui est dommage car les explications qui étaient données au micro étaient très intéressantes.
Seul point positif le train était beau à voir et la gare également.

Really nice experience especially with kids.
Everything is organized by volunteers as part of an association. If you go on a Tuesday, you'll be able to see a quite big market.
