Better known as Me Nu Okkyaung, meaning the brick monastery of Me Nu. This Inwa Monastery was built by Namadaw Me Nu, the first wife of King Bagyidaw, for the venerable monk Nyaunggan Sayadaw. Its architecture imitates wooden monasteries, with multiple roofs and a seven-storey prayer hall. It was damaged by the earthquake of 1838 but rebuilt by Hsinbyumashin, the daughter of Me Nu and wife of King Mindon.
