Aung Myay Lawka Pagoda is located near Htu Pa Yon Pagoda. It was erected like many other monuments in the region by King Bodawpaya who lived from 1782 to 1819, on the place where he resided before he ascended the throne. This pagoda was built entirely of stone, on the model of the famous Shwezigon Pagoda in Bagan. Everywhere in the territory, real architectural monuments are erected in the plains in the effigy of Buddha, which we come to admire and meditate.
