Built in the 11th century, this little temple little visited at the entrance of Old Bagan is the only one, at least the last Hindu temple of Bagan. Legend has it that it was erected for the Indians living in Myanmar, and therefore here in Bagan. Nathlaung Kyaung literally means "sanctuary sheltering the spirits". No statue of Buddha then, but instead of magnificent representations of Hindu deities. Notably in the effigy of Vishnu that we find in four statues near the central pillar of this small temple with square architecture.
