This museum is more akin to a warehouse, but it contains many statues and other objects discovered during excavations in the remains of the Prome region, thus testifying to the Pyu civilization and they provide some meagre clues to decipher the way of life, traditions and daily life of this people. Beautiful bas-reliefs, stuccoes, struck gold coins and statues of Buddha and Hindu deities are also on display.
