TEMPLE SAKYA MAN AUNG
Created in 1629 on the initiative of King Thirithudhammayaza (Read carefully, we won't write it a second time!), this temple, more recent than the other monuments on the site, is distinguished by the beautiful workmanship of its ornaments, which testifies to the rise of Rakhine art under Burmese influence. At the entrance, two giants stand guard in front of the sanctuary. Sheltered under their small kiosk, the two statues of guards materialized in colourful squatting figures, each hold their machete in hand to keep the place safe.
