Born in the 1950s from a private initiative, the Karuïa Bus company is the bus network serving the whole of Nouméa, with a fairly complete network but with a somewhat low frequency in the more remote areas. The main bus station is located southwest of Place des Cocotiers and buying a ticket there will cost a little less than on board. Be careful, the lines stop quite early in the evening. Downloadable map online. Ticket at 190 CFP at the ticket office, and 210 CFP on board the bus.
