Every year, the curious gather to discover the floats and participate in the festival. Each year a new theme is given for the festival-goers willing to dress up. In 2022 for example, it was "the mask". The departure is given from the place Bir Hakeim and a fireworks is fired from the quay Jules-Ferry in the evening. Very popular and good-natured event. 2023 is the 35th edition of this carnival which is very much appreciated by the inhabitants of Nouméa and the surrounding area! Not to be missed if you are there at the right time, especially if you are with your family.
