NEDRE FOSS GÅRD
Built in 1220, this place was a mill that belonged to the monastery on the island of Hovedøya. It is therefore ideally located close to the Akerselva River, and the interior is simply splendid: white walls and mouldings on the ceiling, plants here and there, brown leather benches, light-coloured parquet flooring. A marvel. The menu is refined and the prices reasonable. Today Nedre Foss Gård also has a wine bar, a cocktail bar, and a beer bar (which serves good burgers), just that! A soothing place, rural yet in the heart of the city.
