Under the Troll Agreements of 1986, mainly on the purchase by France of gas and oil, cultural cooperation was also provided for, including the authorisation for a radio to broadcast in French on Norwegian territory. Radio Paris Oslo, housed in the premises of the French Cultural Centre, is funded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In partnership with RFI, it issues 24 hours a day with a newspaper from 10 to 15 minutes every hour, a range of international information between 11 h and 16 h and evening between 19 and midnight.
