Located in the centre of the former whaling town of Sandefjord, close to the market square, the Kong Carl occupies a charming th-century wooden building, painted in white. Already from 1721, a hostel was working there. The hotel, renowned for its atmosphere of the past and for its excellent cuisine, received a Norwegian best service in 1990 (NHRF).
