Located opposite the station, this hotel, inaugurated in 1898, was formerly known as Dølaheimen (the home of the valley farmers). Indeed, the peasants who came to town by train used to stay here. The reception area, furnished with fine antique furniture, is on the second floor. The cafeteria on the first floor serves good regional cuisine. A large gray building, not very appealing at first glance, but the 89 rooms with their Nordic charm, thick glass panes, heavy stains and sturdy furnishings are just the thing.
