Founded in 1996 and inaugurated by King Harald himself, this museum pays tribute to the work of Kjell Aukrust, the Norwegian cartoonist and author born in Alvdal. After working for a major Norwegian daily newspaper, he became a writer. One of his novels, The Pinchcliffe Grand Prix (in Norwegian, Flåklypa Grand Prix), was made into a film in 1975, and went on to become one of the biggest successes of Norwegian cinema. The venue is sometimes open out of season. Solan og Ludvigs Kafé welcomes you!
