The museum presents the role of local men during the Second World War. These were mainly Norwegians who were enlisted in the Red Army to spy on German activities in Finnmark. The building is now protected and was built between 1840 and 1900 with large wooden logs from Russia. It was a very important building for the Pomor trade. On the walls there are still Russian inscriptions. This museum is the oldest in Finnmark. An instructive visit.
