PALACIO DE LA CULTURA
The Palace was once home to the National Congress. Today, it celebrates the arts with a museum featuring collections of paintings, music and poetry. Its neoclassical architecture houses the National Archives, the National Library and the National Museum (collection of pre-Columbian idols, natural history, temporary exhibitions, etc.). It houses the country's most important collection of cultural assets, the vast majority belonging to pre-Columbian cultures: artistic creations, in stone and ceramics, dating back at least 5,000 years.
