Just a 5-minute walk from the cathedral, Casa Antigua ("the old house") is a charming little hotel set in a pretty colonial house. It has 7 rooms and a small apartment, all very clean and pleasant. The French-speaking travel agency Nica Descanso has its office in the hotel's patio. So there's always someone who speaks French around and can provide you with all the information you need to organize your exploration of the country. Handy for those who don't speak Spanish very well!
