Created in 1880, the central square, known as the Parque Colon, was so named twelve years later to celebrate the anniversary of the Discovery of the Americas. In its center, where the town's parish church once stood, today stands a monumental fountain (Fuente de los Tritones) dating from 1880; the artist Pedro Vargas created the sculptures. A pleasant place to linger over a freshly squeezed fruit juice. Opposite the Parque, you can admire the obelisk erected in 1921 as a tribute to the heroes of independence.

Parc très agréable, verdoyant. On y trouve toutes sortes de marchands ambulants. Nombreux restaurants à proximité.
