Undoubtedly one of the city's most beautiful churches. Built at the end of the 18th century in Mexican Baroque style (stucco reliefs), it was very well restored some ten years ago. The blond façade is quite photogenic, and the front features superb bas-reliefs evoking the Passion of Christ. The aunt of the famous Nicaraguan poet Rubén Darío once donated several paintings to adorn the church walls, none of which survive today.
