Inaugurated in 1971, it's a mecca for dance and theater performances, as well as concerts, especially classical music. The program is varied, so you're bound to find a show to your liking. The theater boasts a ceramic fresco, an exhibition room in a former cinema, and its exterior facade is adorned with busts of Salvadoran cultural greats such as Claudia Lars, Pancho Lara, Valero Lecha, Agustín Pío Barrio and Salvador Salazar Arrué. It was designed by French architect Daniel Beylard.
