Built in 1917, this venue organizes classical music concerts and performances such as the National Folk Ballet.
Inaugurated in 1917 and restored in the 1960s, the Teatro Nacional is in the French Renaissance style. The dome of the main auditorium is adorned with a majestic fresco by Carlos Cañas spanning some 230 m2, reminiscent of the Palais Garnier with its frescoes by Chagall. Classical music concerts and shows are performed here, for example by the National Folk Ballet. It is one of the most beautiful theaters in Central America.
