LIBERTAD PARK
Small park housing the Angel of Liberty, erected to commemorate the centenary of the first cry of independence.
We'll gladly walk through it to get to the El Rosario church, where there are often strolling musicians. This park is in fact a small square housing theAngel of Liberty, erected in 1911 to commemorate the centenary of the first "cry of independence". If you look closely, you'll see details of coffee beans... most of the city's major monuments were built with coffee revenues (until the Great Depression). At weekends, music groups gather in a festive, dance-friendly atmosphere!
