Turtle protection association with the aim of freeing 100,000 baby turtles a year with the help of its members
Atoplopc (Asociación de Tortugueros de Playa Los Pinos de Cangrejera) is an association for the protection of sea turtles. Located in Playa Cangrejera, near Puerto La Libertad, it has been in existence since October 2012 and enables visitors to have a unique and privileged moment with the marine fauna during the release of baby turtles. Its mission is to help sea turtles return to the wild. Its goal is to free 100,000 baby turtles each year with the help of its members. A total of 70 families join the environmental conservation effort to protect El Salvador's marine wildlife.
