Among the hotels recently built in El Tunco, the Boca Olas is undoubtedly the most upmarket. Rooms are large and well-appointed, with a small balcony or terrace. Facilities include two swimming pools, one with an in-water bar, and whirlpools. The restaurant (where breakfast is included) overlooks the mouth of a small river and the ocean, which can be reached in a few minutes by a small path along the water. A chic, relaxing getaway but for the highest budgets.
