A museum exploring the life of Mayan farmers through everyday objects, tools and organic materials.

The museum presents an exhibition of relics unearthed during excavations and research at the Joya de Cerén archaeological site. You'll see many objects from daily and rural life, as well as tools and organic materials that have been preserved thanks to the volcano's ashes. It's a unique and revealing example of the life of the region's Mayan farmers. Site maya exceptionnel
Le site de Joya de Cerén n'est pas le plus spectaculaire mais l'un des plus originaux du Monde maya grâce au mode de vie paysan préservé sous la gangue de lave depuis plus de 1000 ans. Le site a été remarquablement mis en valeur avec l'aide du Ministère des Affaires Etrangères français. Le musée est riche et très pédagogique. Entrée 10$
