Ahuachapán's Casa de la Cultura is located opposite the Centro de la Cultura y de los Artes. It's a building of colonial architectural beauty not to be missed. Once an old private residence, it has two levels and a classical facade. The columns have a Tuscan-style base, and are topped with representations of leaves and scrolls. La Casa organizes cultural events, notably on Día de los Farolitos (Sept. 7)
