Museum founded in 1992, exploring the heritage of Ulúa culture through everyday objects, relics, stones,...

Although the dialect is no longer spoken and the ethnic group has disappeared, this museum, founded in 1992, is interested in tracing the heritage of the Ulúa culture. You can follow in the footsteps of the first inhabitants of Cacaopera. On display are objects from daily life(tecomates), relics, stones and columns (evidence of architecture), masks carved in wood (dances), testimonies... A third section focuses on colonial history, with documents and coins. An interesting visit that provides a better understanding of the region's history.
