In Puerto El Triunfo, fishermen wait on the malecón (quay) in the mornings (every day of the week) to offer their services. Negotiate the price and duration of your trip with them. On weekends, many Salvadorans take the boat out with their families. The tour usually lasts two hours: a tour of the bay, lunch in one of the floating restaurants, and a stop on a sandbank (at low tide) for a swim.
