Small, historic community of 74 families with wildflowers, birds, mammals and reptiles.
La Mora is a small, historic community of 74 families at the foot of Cerro Guazapa (1,438 m). It's a pleasant place, home to over 200 species of wildflowers, 27 species of birds, mammals and reptiles. The scenery is marvellous. To reach it from Suchitoto (or Aguilares), take bus 107 and get off at the Clinique de La Mora stop (a clinic that, incidentally, treats some 25,000 people in twenty-two rural and disadvantaged communities in the surrounding area).
