This church is a pristine white jewel, a remnant of the colonial era (it was built in 1690). Legend has it that the church stands on the spot where Saint Matías appeared to a group of hunters. The church is set in a pleasant tree-lined square where you can stroll. The patron saint (and at the same time a guancasco) is celebrated from February 15 to 28 (and especially on February 22): pilgrimages, ceremonies, lots of alcohol and drunken campesinos sleeping the sleep of the just in the layons...
