CALANDERIC BOSC
Calanterique means "the mountain of water". This attractive 120-hectare nature reserve is home to gigantic pine trees and Magay cacti, some 3 metres high. There are picnic areas, popular with families at weekends, and you can enjoy beautiful views over the city (for this, push up to the mirador, for example). You can also take a stroll along the many footpaths, which can be explored on foot or by mountain bike. The park is easily accessible from the center of Siguatepeque: it's just over 2 km from the main square.
