A beautiful historic building (Art Deco period) has been saved from abandonment to house the Railroad Company museum: Tela was once an important railroad center, whose mission was to export Honduran bananas to the rest of the world. Railroads were built from the plantations to the port. Here you can see a variety of objects related to railway life, including pieces of old rails.
