Jorge was born on the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua. At the age of 17, he came to live in the Honduran Moskitia with his family, fleeing the Sandinista war. He then studied in the United States to become a forestry engineer. Since 1990, he has been offering his ecotourism services around La Ceiba and in the Moskitia. A true enthusiast, professional and ardent defender of the Río Plátano biosphere. Excursions include rafting, kayaking, cloud forest holidays with hiking, and a 5-day/4-night stay at La Moskitia (recommended).
