Sambo Creek is a typical Garifuna village on the north coast of Honduras. It lies 15 kilometers east of La Ceiba, at the mouth of a river: colorful wooden houses, coconut loaves, fishermen, open sea beach... A very picturesque visit. Enjoy traditional Garifuna cuisine at restaurants such as Kay Place or Kavasa. Many excursions to the small paradise islets of Cayos Cochinos depart from Sambo Creek.
