POZAS EL CISNE
Go there and contact
One of the most pleasant little-known spots on the north coast of Honduras. It's a waterfall that spreads out in small pools where it's great to swim, in a superb site. Diving, climbing, lounging, having fun, relaxing... Don't forget to bring a picnic to make the most of this enchanting spot, away from the tourist routes.
To get there , here are a few details: the path starts behind the stadium. Take a path on the right after a few hundred meters (shortly after this path, there's a pulpería on the left). Continue to the first gate: turn left and follow the pipeline. You'll come to a second gate, which you'll have to go through. Then follow the pipeline along a clearly visible path. The first path leads off to the right, towards a pleasant pool; this is the first possible stopover, otherwise ignore it and continue straight on for about twenty minutes, a little less if you walk fast, until you reach a sort of natural fork: a palm tree stands in the middle. To get your bearings, note that the left-hand path then twists up sharply and the ground becomes muddy. At the fork, turn right: a small informal path, less obvious than the main left-hand path, but which leads to the foot of the first pool in two minutes. You can climb the stones on the right to reach a second pool and enjoy a superb view of the waterfall. Be careful where you plunge: from the big rock in the first pool, for example, there's not much space below!
