You can climb to the summit of Cerro El Tigre, 783 m above sea level; the trail starts shortly after the Playa Caracol huts. Allow around 9 km round trip, and at least 4h30 to 5h walking time. Some parts are a little difficult, but take your time and you'll get there. The trail is usually well signposted. Don't hesitate to ask for information before you start. At the top, a magnificent view of the Gulf of Fonseca! Adventurers will want to consider camping out at the summit (take everything with you) to admire a superb sunset.
