Formerly known in the capital as Café Próżna, this little café still offers its regulars and passers-by the chance to accompany a coffee or cup of tea, with a piece of cake or salad, and leaf through photographic albums about Warsaw to satisfy their curiosity about ul. Próżna. This former Warsaw ghetto street has remained virtually untouched since the end of the war. This café was a forerunner, back when the street was in ruins. It has since become the heart of the movement to rehabilitate the Warsaw of 1939.
