Built between 1948 and 1949, it was the first cinema in Warsaw after the Second World War. The original building no longer exists, but was replaced in 2007 by a large six-storey cinema, whose façade is decorated with twelve bas-reliefs depicting famous Polish actors. There's also a café and a bookshop. The cinema regularly hosts film festivals and events. It's a good place to go to see the latest Hollywood release in its original subtitled version.
