Anyone who hasn't experienced a Polish cemetery on a religious holiday can't yet claim to know the country. On Sundays around midday, it's the liveliest place in town! In Warsaw, as traditionally in other Polish cities, the cemeteries of the various denominations are placed side by side, a sign of the city's cosmopolitan past. In the far north-west corner, above the Catholic cemetery (ul. Tatarska), lies the Muslim Tatar cemetery.
