Inaugurated in 1984 to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the event, this moving monument pays tribute to all the insurgents of 1944. August1 is considered the anniversary of this desperate uprising, which ended in merciless Nazi repression and the almost complete destruction of the city. If you pass through Warsaw at this time, you'll see a multitude of candles and wreaths laid in front of the monument.

Yes it Could not be built in communist time so only after end of soviet repression it was erecyed. Sad the german soldier that send away the polish defeated from their city

Toujours dans votre visite pédestre c'est un endroit incontournable ne serait que le grandiose de ce monument dédié à l'insurrection de Varsovie. C'est assez gigantesque t la place et site s'y prête bien, moment de souvenir à cet endroit.

Bizarre. Les habitants de Varsovie disent que c'est un monument d'une tremblement de terre dans le quartier moderne... Malgre cela - touchant et bien encadre par le Palais de la Justice.
