Somewhat removed from the main tourist circuits of the city center, this magnificent yellow-painted palace with its vast inner courtyard, built in the 17th century in Baroque and Neoclassical style, takes its name from one of its owners, J. Borch, the King's Vice-Chancellor. In the 19th century, it became the seat of the Archbishop of Warsaw. Rebuilt after the war as the seat of the Polish primate, it was here that Pope John Paul II stayed during his visits to Warsaw.
