The City History Museum is housed in the incredible palace of industrialist Izrael Kalmanowicz Poznański, owner of one of Łodź's largest cotton mills (late 19th century). It boasts superb interiors, which are a must-see. The rooms alternate between the customs of the Poznański family and the city's industrial history. Don't miss the ballroom (also known as the chandelier room) and the music gallery.
