Augustów is a town in Poland, surrounded by nine lakes and the vast Augustów Forest. It is the water sports capital of northeastern Poland, offering numerous opportunities for kayaking, sailing, boat cruises, catamarans and gondolas. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy Augustów's picturesque beauty, clean air and lake water, relaxing pine and spruce forests, unspoilt nature and friendly people. In 2014, Augustów was honored with the title of "Poland's Most Pleasant City" in the 2nd edition of the "Milka. Let's choose the most pleasant city in Poland". Augustów's Tourist Information Center, located on Zygmunta Augusta Square 19, offers tourist information, brochures and maps of the region.
