Białowieża National Park, located in the far east of Poland on the border with Belarus, is one of Europe's oldest national parks and nature reserves. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its exceptional natural wealth, including its intact primary forest, the last in Europe, and its free-living population of European bison. The park also boasts a diverse flora and fauna, with over 250 species of birds and other animals such as deer, wolves, lynx and beavers. In addition to nature, the park also has historical and cultural value, with sites such as the magnificent Palace Park and the authentic village of Białowieża. To visit the park, it's advisable to book a licensed guide, who can organize excursions to observe animals and discover the park's most interesting spots. The park also offers activities such as excursions on a small tourist train, sleigh and carriage rides, as well as campfires in the forest accompanied by accordion music.
