This branch of the Poznań National Museum, an art museum opened in 1965 as the Museum of Arts and Crafts, is located on a hill in the former royal castle(Zamek Królewski). It exhibits numerous historical artefacts: clocks, furniture and other secular objects from all periods (especially Baroque), from the Middle Ages to the present day. Originally built in the 13th century, the castle was destroyed and remodeled several times, and was once home to the governors of Wielkopolska. From the terrace, you can enjoy a fine view over the city's rooftops.
